Spell Checking

Spell checking can be performed on both forms and lines of code. It will consider hints and captions of many Windows controls. If eyebol finds a caption of a control that it does not recognise it will still spell check this but display the type as “unknown”.

Parameters passed to functions and procedures are also spell checked. The default procedures to consider are commands such as ‘Showmessage’ and ‘MessageDlg’.

Under Spelling Options there is also the ability to add your own functions and parameters that you would like to see spell checked.

The list of wrongly spelt words will probably include a lot of abbreviations or form captions that are overwritten in code however it should not take long to browse through this list and find any captions that need correcting. Note that duplicate spelling mistakes can be hidden if this makes browsing the list of entries easier.
